Grant Lecky cropInternationally recognised security and resilience professional specialising in security leadership and management, business continuity, emergency management, crisis management, project management, strategic & tactical analysis, research, and problem-solving.                   

Grant co-founded the Security Partners' Forum (SPF), the global security community’s network for the development of building security and resilience capacity. His achievements with the SPF include development of the Caribbean Security & Resilience Awards and the Top Women in Security/Top Women in Cybersecurity Awards, now launched across Europe, Africa, India, Canada, Latin America and the ASEAN region.

He also serves on several advisory councils and editorial boards including: IFSEC Global lead Judge; head of the International Judging Panels for both the Top Influencers in Security & Fire and the new Global Security Influencer of the Year Award, Canadian Who’s Who Editorial Board and Cybersecurity and Business Continuity & Emergency Planning editorial board member.                     

In recognition of his contributions to security and resilience development, Grant was made a Fellow of the Australian Risk Policy Institute and received an Alumni of Distinction Award from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. Grant was recipient of the Leader of the Decade Award, presented at the Women’s Economic Forum Conference, Amsterdam 2019. He received the Bill Zalud Memorial Award 2018 for professional excellence and outstanding service in the security profession, the Outstanding Achievement in Global Cybersecurity Award 201, was named one of IFSEC Global’s Most Influential People in Fire & Security for both 2017 and 2014 and Carleton University’s Top 75 Graduates for the 75th Anniversary 2017. He was also named on the Canadian Who’s Who listing for 2018. In 2013 Grant was given the Compass Award (CSO Magazine) for outstanding achievement in security and risk management leadership and appeared on the Security Magazine’s lists of the Most Influential People in Security 2012. His media presence includes the cover feature for the April edition of the International Security Journal and April/May edition of Sovereign Magazine, the feature spot in Australian Security Magazine September 2014 as well as Canadian Security Magazine’s March/April 2013 edition.

Grant holds a Masters Degree in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester UK, a BA in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Carleton University, a diploma in Security Management from Algonquin College, and a series of executive level certificates including the Corporate Security Executive Leadership Masterclass from the Burrill Green Corporate Security Business School (UK), the ISMA (International Security Management Association) Strategic Leadership Course from the University of Georgetown, and the ISMA Senior Executive Leadership Programme from the Kellogg School of Business.
